COLOUR STUDIES ASSIGNMENT 2

1. EXPERIMENTS WITH IMAGES BASED ON KEY WORDS

VIBRANT:

VIBRANT/ TEXTURE/ MOTION
I love the abstract, blured, emerging colours this row of necklaces have given me.

VIBRANT/TEXTURE

These 2 images are from me trying to experiment with with shutter speed, but the consistency of the nail varnish in the water didn't quite work, but these stills with a macro lens are effective.

2. DULUX COLOUR SWATCH EXPERIMENTS: NIGERIAN SANDS 1-6
My swatch was 6 hues ranging from rich dark brown, through to burnt oranges and finishing with an aztec yellow like colour.

I decided to work with the darkest tone of Nigerian sands 1, but I found that other hues from the palette  cropped up in the alongside it.

RBS Live Brief: Royal Bank of Scotland & The Princes Trust Calendar

I've also decided to include this photograph, it reminds me of a Lowry painting and although it wasn't taken specifically for this brief, I think it captures the essence of Manchester in winter.
